1. For the people worried about the use of Christmas as a way for the spread of christianity or what ever religion you might be apart of, don't worry about it, nobody cares and if you do who care what you think.

     2.  Let the kids have fun once and awhile. 

     3.  I agree with the 2nd article I agree that the let the kids celebrate their Christmas with Santa and           everything but not during the instructional time.

American Teacher

• When I first saw the film "American Teacher" it made me think of how hard it is to be a teacher. I would have to think about how I would make it with such a minimal salary for all the work that would be put into it.

• The Biggest thing that I felt that teachers' frustration was most set on was that if you were a really good teacher was that they have to balance their lives with a second job. They were also frustrated when people put it that more money would make a better teacher.

• Some was that I think that would improve teaching conditions without an increase in teachers' salary, would be better classrooms, technology, and to have supplies for the class paid for.

• Well one way that I can relate myself to the reasons why I procrastinate is because I have problems concentrating on my studies. I will sit down at my desk and start to study and I soon am just staring at the papers, not knowing what I and doing. When I am actually interested in what I am studying there are often distractions such as talking, yelling, and etc. 

How To Overcome Procrastination?

• In order for me to overcome my procrastinating ways I will motivate myself to better studying. I will bring all the things that I need with me to the library and study there, so that i may study in complete silence. They also have tables to work at in the library to put my stuff on and have organized for easy access so that I don't have to stop my studies.

If I could change education, I would...

     If I could change education, I would agree with the video that the education should be changed. Education should be changed because it is based on all the past assumptions of education, but in fact the world is changing and the world wants to believe it is not, so they take it out on the student, like it said the world is shutting the the future generations' senses to learn to lots of non-needed crap.We should let the students learn what they want to learn and excel at what they are going to do with their lives. Lesson Planning 101

The Texas Education Agency sets the standards for the required curriculum of the state. My intern class is in 5th grade so this is their Texas Essential Knowledge and Skill, so here are their requirements.

Activities that I would like to preform with my class are:

A. Discuss the conflicts between Great Britain and The Colonies, which resulted in the start of the American Revolution and the birth of the United States of America. 


B. Discuss who the Founding Fathers and other Patriots of the United States of America, and why they are important to us and our history.

C. Discuss about the United States' Governments, why the Articles of Confederation were replaced by the United States Constitution, how the founding father's persuaded the States to pass the Constitution, and the basic freedoms given to us by it's Bill of Rights.

My First Week As A Teacher...

My site school is Holiday Heights Elementary!

My site school teacher is Jim Briggs .

I am interning in a 5th grade history class.

The first day (Tuesday) when I walked in to the classroom I was really nervous, but after I started introducing myself I quickly became calm and wasn't nervous anymore.

What I am looking forward to this year is experience in being a teacher.

As time goes on technology gets better and better. We don't use old technology as much anymore and we are becoming more and more dependent on technology, which is good if teachers are using them for education, but schools don't have the necessary funds to fully depend on technology.
